"Dr was rude"

About: Kirkby Community Primary Care Centre (2)

I was very excited to go to my new GP a few weeks ago for the first time, having read the reviews online about how good KCPCC was, i had high expectations.

The facilities are modern and very clean and i was very impressed when i first walked in.

Unfortunately the Doctor was extremely, impatient and gave me false information. The Dr looked at me like pure dirt the minute i walked in and the Dr’s tone of voice was rude from the start. The dr didn’t even say greet me as i walked in.

I said to the Dr i had 2 things to ask about and the response i got was ‘i have only have 10 minutes so hurry up’. I nearly walked out after the reply and how it was said to me i was so disgusted. I understand that you only have 10 minute slots and that that may have time to only help with the main issue but to be spoken to in that manner by a Doctor was shocking - they had zero patient and care skills. I ended up having to gett private healthcare for what i needed afterwards and was of course treated extremely well by the doctor at that facility.

I have lived in multiple countries and had healthcare provided by multiple doctors and nurses and the Doctor that saw me at KCPCC was by far the rudest i have ever come across.

The only thing i can say was the Reception team was fantastic and very polite.

Thank you for taking the time to review KCPCC. We are extremely sorry that your experience at our practice fell below your expectations and the high standards we aim for. All our staff work very hard in difficult circumstances to deliver the best possible healthcare we can. I apologies that you were upset by the doctor's demeanour towards you and that you had to arrange private healthcare following this consultation. This is unacceptable if the treatment you require is available via the NHS, however, the practice has a responsibility to comply with local and national policy. The NHS has reduced access to many services and some are no longer funded by the NHS at all but without knowing the specific details I am unable to know if this was the case for the treatment you needed. If you wish to discuss this further please contact the Practice Supervisor.
