Unlike the main hospital, ATC pickup area not visible from inside the building. When accompanying very disabled husband from an appointment, there was no seated area where he could await me driving car to pick up area (having parked in carpark).
Therefore car needs to be left longer to enable me to go inside to tell him he can now walk to the car.
He is perfectly able to identify car and make his way to it on his crutches, but it is unreasonable to expect him to wait outside in cold and rain.
He needs to sit while waiting.
There is quite a long approach area from drop off/pick up are to the door of the ATC and it seems some sort of undercover seating area could have been incorporated.
It would be impossible for him to walk to number2 carpark and nearer disabled parking spaces are not usually available.
