My girlfriend managed to put a sewing machine needle through her finger so we headed off to A&E.
We couldn't have waited more than ten minutes after making it to reception and were swiftly seen to by staff who promptly sent us to X-ray who also had a quick turn-around.
Orthopaedics were then called and we did have to wait a while for them to finish in theatre. Once they'd looked at the correct X-ray they set about extracting the needle and got it sorted in a reasonable time.
The staff from A&E were very friendly and helpful but I thought Orthopaedics could have had a better bedside manner, including in their attitude towards A&E staff.
"Dealt with (relatively) quickly at A&E, Good Hope Hospital"
