"Lost Teeth 80yr old"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

My mum who is 80 yrs old went in lincoln for an op by spinal on 13th July 18 she went down to theatre for a spinal they taken her in but she could feel it the spinal not worked so op had to be stopped this was a dreadful experience for her they pumped her with drugs and she started vomiting violently she lost he plate with teeth on. She had another spinal and when she got to ward she she told them she had lost her teeth they said don't worry we will ring down. She asked later and they said they will check. My brother went to nurse station at visiting they said they can't find them told him to get claim form from Pals. My mum struggled with teeth missing. She went to dentist paid £256 For new plate which was painful. We sent form off in oct18 but then last week Jan 19 got a call saying no record of her losing them. So now she has had pain inxonvience of running to dentist and now nobody will pay. This is a disgrace I will be taking them to court for distress as well which will cost the bus more crazy world. DO NOT TAKE IT THEY RECORDED AMYTHING LETS HOPE THE MEDICAL RECORDS ARE KEPT BETTER

We are so sorry that there have been problems with your mother’s claim. PALS would like to reassure you that they are still following this up and are in contact with the Business Unit who they understand are still looking in to this for her.
