I attended the Opthamology Department for a pre op assessment in relation to my cataract.
From the minute I entered the department until leaving the staff were smiling, friendly, polite and informative.
Unfortunately, I was nervous and can't remember the names of all the different staff who attended to me but they were all lovely. They carried out their role professionally with banter and helped me understand what would happen at the next stages throughout my time in the department and at the operation stage. They took time to answer all, my silly questions, which was reassuring and I will be in safe, professional hands. I cannot thank them all enough i.
We hear so much criticism of NHS Scotland, especially via the media and others who do it for political gain - that we need to give the excellent staff at the front line appreciation for their services.
