"Shockingly incompetent reception staff & manager"

I transferred to this surgery in 2018 as I'm not from the area and it was the nearest to me. BIG MISTAKE.

it took months for them to get my records from my previous doctor and as a previous doctor's receptionist, I know it should be done within 6 weeks. Then it took months to get a repeat prescription of the medication I had been taking for years (only for gastric reflux!).

I was lied to for weeks by reception staff who told me that a prescription was ready and waiting to be signed when in fact it hadn't, and wouldn't be issued until I had a medication review.

When I expressed my disgust at being lied to about my prescription being ready ,the practice manager offered no apology, wasn't interested in who, what or why I had been lied to - I suspect from her attitude, she couldn't be bothered or lacked the ability to deal with a complaint. After my medication review, which I have to say, was with a lovely pharmacist and was the only plus in my dealings with this practice, I still struggled to get a prescription after my med review and again was told for a week that the prescription was waiting to be signed by a doctor when in fact, it wasn't.

I told them that I would be up there in a few minutes and challenged the manager about my prescription being ready, . She then insulted my intelligence by asking me to take a seat and bearing in mind was told only a few minutes beforehand that my prescription had been printed off, then proceeded to print off my prescription which I saw with my own eyes, and then passed it to the doctor for signing. I still had to wait until the doctor could sign it and when I went to collect it from Tesco, they had addressed it to the previous Tesco I used to collect my prescriptions from - IN KENT!! The pharmacist at Tesco was incredibly helpful and sorted it all out for me. The admin/reception staff in this practice need to be put on a rigorous customer service training and admin course.. RUDE, INSULTING, CARELESS. INCOMPETENT. GO ELSEWHERE IS MY ADVICE.
