Reception staff and reception were excellent, cannot fault. Arrived fifteen minutes before appointment then waited, and waited. I got seen by doctor over half an hour after my appointment time. The Doctor gave my eyes a cursory look and immediately said he would have to refer me to Burnley General Hospital as he could not see through my lens to measure it.
Was very abrupt, needs a course in 'bedside manner'.
After a few weeks I still had no date from hospital so contacted BMI through email re this. Suddenly I got a call from Blackburn appointments with a cancellation. NO further reply from BMI.
The Doctor at BGH was brilliant, cannot praise him enough. Weirdly, my lens must have cleared enough for him to be able to measure it WITHOUT scan. I feel that the Doctor just didnt want to be bothered that day, and as I was NOT a paying customer had a lot to do with it. If you are paying, then he may be ok
