I'm a 73 year of active man who suffered a heart attack on the evening of Sunday 6th Jan 2019. The emergency paramedic team arrived in around 10 minutes of finishing the emergency call. The two really great, proffesional and rasuring paramedics made me feel at ease within 5 minutes, completed their tests and whisked me off the Maidstone Hospital. On arrival, quickly processed and assessed. Everything explained and all tests and necessary medication completed efficiently and totally. The following morning transferred to Culpepper Ward where I was looked after by the most caring, friendly and professional of nurses I could ever have hoped for. All of them were wonderful. The next day resulted in an echocardiogram which indicated that a "stent" would be required. The next day transferred by ambulance to Pembury for the procedure. No hanging around at all. Reviewed, fully explained, procedure doneby the most professional and friendly team. After reasurring and necessary recovery rest and assessments transferred back to Maidstone by mid afternoo. On return to the CCU unit of Culpeper Ward I was back with my nursing team being caringly, efficiently looked after. At all times all of my caring professionals could not have provided a better service.
It is so good to know that in these hard, critical times times for the NHS that there are these groups of professional, expert and caring professionals exist working under hard and often very difficult conditions provide this service not because of it beeing a job they get paid for but because they love it and really care. Well done Culpepper Ward team and all your associated cardiac .specialists! The NHS are lucky to have you
