My daughter went into labour just before Christmas Dinner last year (2018). She gave birth very quickly after arriving at Croydon University Hospital. It was her third baby and all were born at Croydon University Hospital. Each and every time she had great care from the midwifery staff. This time was no different. Her midwife was confident, reassuring and supportive and encouraging. A real star! My baby grandson was born two hours after arrival at the hospital healthy and bonny. My story is simply this, at a time when so many negative things are said and reported about our hospitals and our battling NHS it needs to be flagged up when they do such an excellent job. From beginning to end it all worked and even when she hoped to get home the next day they kept her in due to blood pressure going up a little. Better safe than sorry - that is good care.
Thank you Croydon University Hospital from the bottom of my heart, for delivering my grandson and keeping my daughter safe. You are an amazing bunch of people. It was 32 years ago that I gave birth to my daughter in Croydon (then Mayday) and that was a very good happy experience too!
"Brilliant again!"
