"Colposcopy Unit"

About: Tameside General Hospital

I first attended the Colposcopy unit In March 2018 following an abnormal smear, in total I attend the clinic 3 times the last time being December 2018. Understandably I was nervous and apprehensive at all my appointments, the specialist nurse explained everything fully, professionally, and with empathy and answered any questions I had. She made me feel at ease at all times and her caring nature and approach to patients should get the recognition it deserves. As a nurse myself it is not often we are credited for the hard work and professionalism we deliver. The specialist nurse even rang and spoke with me on the phone to discuss any concerns. The nursing team/health care assistants were all completely professional and caring. What a wonderful caring team of professionals, they are an asset to the hospital thank you for the excellent care given to me.

Good afternoon and thank you for taking the time to post such positive comments about your recent experience at the Trust. We would love to share these with the Specialist Nurse and the Team involved in your care, but to do this, we need some more information from you to understand who it was you saw.

You can do this by contacting the PALS and Complaints Team on 0161 922 4466 or by sending an email to palsandcomplaints@tgh.nhs.uk and a member of the team will be able to take the necessary information from you.

Thank you once again,
