"opinion on the service"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

We had to attend the hospital with my wifes brother who has special needs he is 67 years old the service he received was first class the care and attention of the staff was exemplary from start to finish it was an eye opener for us to see in the waiting room what the staff have do deal with from disreputable characters with abusive attitudes. One person came in handcuffed with two policemen not a pretty sight. Through all this the staff were patient and professional the only down side was the lack of trained doctors which I think is a national problem and this resulted in waiting a bit longer in the department well done and thank you to all the staff

Dear Bros in Law

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion. I was sorry to hear of you brother in laws’ attendance and hope that he is recovering well. The staff face many challenges every day with the numbers of patients all requiring individualised care. We pride ourselves in ensuring that each person and their family/carers receive the care dignity and the respect that they deserve. Yes it sometimes not without challenges but we are fortunate to have an extremely dedicated team of nurses’ and medical staff within the Queen Elizabeth Emergency Department. We have passed on your comments to them as sharing feedback is very important to use.

Thank you again for taking the time to feedback.

Many thanks

Carol-Ann Jamieson

General Manager
