I went to the walk-centre with breathing difficulties after my usual GP clinic proved to be utterly useless (couldn speak to a person and an automated phone service offered me an appointment in 8 days time). The receptionist asked me to complete a short form on my arrival and then asked me to wait in another part of the clinic. There were a lot of people there and I thought I was in for a long wait but was called within 15 minutes. After a short consultation with a very friendly GP,
I was on a nebuliser. As the GP still had some concerns after the treatment she referred me to the hospital.
I realise people with other ailments or injuries would have waited much longer than I did to be treated but, with the volume of people I saw there waiting to be seen, they must have to have some sort of priority system. So, I can only speak for myself but I thought the standard of care I received throughout my visit was excellent.
"Excellent care for urgent issues"
