"Managing to cope with awful events in my past but now my new GP is cutting my medication too fast"

i have been on tranquilisers for 40years today having suffered some awful events in my life. i have had trouble coping.

my old gp was very understanding but he left the surgery. this new gp, who is young and doesn't know me or my history, has decided to cut my medication at a fast rate which is causing me great stress. i take two lots of the same medication, one i have 10mg (twice a day) and the other i have 2mg (twice a day). this gp has cut the 2mg ones to 1mg a day.

i am 62years of age and was coping quite well until he started messing about with my pills. i am getting very anxious about it and dont want to slip backwards.
