"Gallbladder Removal Surgery"

About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I would just like to thank the all staff at the Golden Jubilee Hospital for my recent surgery and care.   I was taken a back when I received my surgery date in Dec 18 at this particular hospital, as I am only literally 5-10 minutes away from Wishaw Hospital.   However, I am so glad I got the opportunity to have this done when I did and where.

From the minute I stepped into the Reception until I was saying goodbye  the following day, I was treated extremely well.   I met with everyone involved, even the consultant/surgeon who would be attending to me.   Everyone extremely friendly and nothing was a problem to them.   They put me ease and quite sad to say that I actually enjoyed my stay.....Own room with toilet etc, clean, overlooking the Clyde and food was great.   Surprisingly hot and good choice.   My surgery went ahead as planned and ideally would have liked the opportunity to thank the operating team for my treatment.   I understand they are extremely busy and would really like to pass on my gratitude to them all.   I can't remember falling asleep before the surgery and the next thing I was aware of was me being moved to the ward.   Totally stress free.   Hopefully, I will not need any future operations etc, however if I do, I would recommend and request for this hospital in a heartbeat, even with the 45 minutes travelling time for visitors etc....

Dear Goodbye Gallbladder,

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion. Your compliments are very much appreciated and are lovely to read. Surgery can be a very worrying time for patients and their relatives and it is lovely to read that you were put at ease and your surgery went well.

I will pass your lovely compliments onto the teams, however should you wish me to pass these onto the staff directly involved in your care, please do not hesitate to contact me with your name and date of birth on 0141 951 5951 or feedback@gjnh.scot.nhs.uk

Kind regards

Paula
