"Doctor did not care - I'm looking to make a..."

About: Shotley Bridge Hospital Site

We went to the urgent care centre for a 2200 appointment with a 3 month old baby, discussed with the doctor that she had been spiking in temperature multiple times over the days. After rummaging through his own dirty leather bag for a thermometer (it was full of other medical equipment which surely couldn't be sterile) he could not find one so went out and brought back in an ADULT ear thermometer, not what to use on a child. It read 33.5 degrees C which is hypothermic, however she clearly was not. Yet he did not flinch at that or take another reading. God knows what he put in her observations. He was very unhelpful all round. Both myself and mybgirlfriend walked out unhappy, we confirmed with each other we say 33.5 so i went back to speak to the Dr who, conviniently had gone on a house call within 3 seconds of us walking out the door... I mentioned to the receptionist about the thermometer etc, she didnt care and literally laughed it off saying she's sure the Dr will have a new one by now.

We rang 111 after the appointment and advised to go to A&E as the check they described that the Dr should have done was not even half compete. We ended up back home at 0300. All because a Doctor couldn't be bothered to do his job properly. This will become a formal complaint, i am looking for the process.
