"Excellent Care"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a service user),

Excellent care, good communication.  Felt was listened to. Meals are really good.  The environment very clean and more up to date than past years.  Ward decor very cheery.  Felt was moved between different wards too often

Dear velapg43,

It is great to hear that you found your care to be excellent and that communication was good. Communication is so important at such a worrying time for you and your family. Our catering colleagues will be delighted to hear that you found the food to be good.

We were fortunate that our hospital volunteers funded for us to have our main wall in the unit transformed in to the 'road to recovery'. It is great to hear you found this boosted you during your stay.

The ward is split in to 3 areas ( high care area, step down and rapid assessment bays) which results in patients moving between these areas depending on clinical needs. I am sorry that you felt you were moved more often and we will certainly share this feedback to ensure we minimise the moves for patients.

Thanks for taking the time to post your comments which I will ensure are shared with the team. I hope you are now recovering well.

Best Wishes for 2019,

Christine
