"Excellent Care"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as a service user),

Myself and my husband recently suffered a missed miscarriage with our first pregnancy. We were both devastated and couldn’t understand why this had happened to us.

When we visited the EPAS team we could not have received better care. The staff explained everything fully and listed to any questions we had. One staff member in particular even came in to her shift early on our appointment day to ensure that all tests were carried out timeously.

Staff were extremely caring and expressed their sympathies for our loss. We were given information home with us and encouraged to contact the team for reassurance with any future pregnancies. This situation has been awful for us but I really feel the EPAS team helped us through it and gave us the support we needed at the time which we are extremely thankful for.

I am pleased that you felt well supported and cared for during this time and that the team kept you up to date and well informed about what was happening. I will pass on your kind comments to the EPAS team.
