My son went to have his knee op last week at the Golden Jubilee. He arrived at 7.30 am and informed he was last on the list. At 5.40pm he was taken to surgery.
Why is it not better to have morning patients in the morning and others for the afternoon surgery arrive later in the morning, instead of having all in at the same time? 14 hours my son was in for an operation that takes 30 mins.
Also been at the hospital for so long, he had to eat in the canteen which I think was a total rip off when they are charging 90p a slice of ham and 50p a spoonful of lettuce. I think they are making a profit from people who need to eat when, through no fault of their own, they are stuck at the hospital for such a length of time.
For the meal I bought I believe I could have got a two course meal at the hilton for the same price
