During 2 recent visits to the Great Western Hospital I observed good practice of staff when supporting adults with learning disabilities to access a mainstream videofluroscopy clinic.
During both appointments all radiology staff I spoke with were extremely helpful and friendly. In particular I would like to thank the radiographer for taking her time to explain the process to my client and helping to make him feel at ease. I would also like to thank this radiographer for giving the client additional time to process the situation and not rushing the assessment. It was so lovely to see staff adapting their communication to support the clients individual communication needs.
