"Does Anyone Answer the Phone??"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Received my follow up appointment letter in November 2018 for an appointment in Jan 2019. Since the middle of Decmber I have phoned on a daily basis to try and re-arrange. The phone number on the letter is either engagaed or just rings. I cannot count the number of hours I have spent trying to chnage this appointment.

Can someone please tell me how I can acheive this, I do not wish to waste NHS time and money but just not turning up and then having to go back to my GP to get another follow up!

Dear Reviewer,

I’m sorry to learn that you have been unable to get through via the telephone to our Ear, Nose and Throat department.

We have recently installed extra telephone lines to try and free up the telephone line for patients. The outpatient appointment telephone number to call is 0116 258 5242.

If you wish you can also provide your details and telephone number by emailing ENTReferralsMailbox@uhl-tr.nhs.uk and we will ensure you receive a call back from us.

Kindest regards,

Nicola Galletly, Service Manager
