I was brought into A&E by ambulance after suffering a dizzy spell while out surfing on Christmas Day. This was totally debilitating and was like being suddenly blind drunk.
The ambulance crew were great, especially since I was behaving like a drunkard and was sick in the ambulance.
The staff at the hospital were magic, and carried out an ECG, a CAT scan of my head, blood pressures, tests for signs of stroke. The conclusion was I had an inner ear infection. Both the nurses and doctors I saw were brilliant: professional, knowledgeable, friendly and supportive, and cheerfully working through Christmas with the prospect of having to deal with the after effects of Christmas festivities in general as the day went on.
If you have to be ill, this is the place to go!
"Great place - lovely people"
