"A and e department"

About: North Manchester General Hospital

I took my wife to the a and e department as she was told to go to hospital asap as she is 33 weeks pregnant, she was getting shortness of breath and constant pains in her stomach which was making her really worried and upset as it is out first child. She had blood tests done and one of the triage nurses told us she maybe in slow labour, she then told us to wait in the waiting room for the doctor so we did after 2 hours she was still getting the same pains and shortness of breath so I told the nurses she needs to be looked at asap, their response was I am sorry but she isn’t priority right now, so a pregnant women with severe pains is not priority? I find that totally shocking and worrying as she was in considerable amount of pain and they let her suffer. We waited for 4 and half hours to be eventually seen! I I would never go their again
