I have been under the care of the unit for just over 2 years or more. I have been diagnosed with bipolar, I dislike going out, I get nervous plus anxious when i do go out.
Unfortunately, I have had a polyp in my colon
Which I had removed in the third attempt.
The staff from this unit, helped with overseeing my care.
I also have had a problem with incontinence which has not helped me to get on with my everyday life, due to the fact that I have double incontinence, i don't actually have control of my own bowels & bladder, it affects my life badly, as i feel insecure if i do go out, as it i get the urge to 'go', I only have moments or seconds before i may have an accident of an unwanted personal problem that affects my daily life even more, due to this health issue keeping me housebound.
I am scared to venture out of my home, as I worry if perhaps I will need toilet facilities, but don't find any, as this can cause me distress as I can't hold on to use the toilet, which can be very embarrassing to say the least β
I have to give credit to the staff here, who have been looking after my health plus personal issues I have had in the time i have been under the care of the Pennington unit.
π my thanks to π Donna & also Barbara.
π alsoπ to Karen, who has now left, but was a brilliant help and of great assistance to me over two years or more, I do actually miss her, however I wish her well in her retirement.
I would also like to thank my doctors, surgeon, various agency carers, who have all been arranged by the help of the Pennington unit β
Yours sincerely,
