"Gastroscopy"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

I visited the Unit today, very frightened as I had a bad experience last visit.

I explained to the nurse who booked me in, and made note of it. The consultant explained the procedure. I told him my fears. The consultant then took me to the room, where i was greeted by two lovely nurses. One of the nurses held my hand, while i was being sedated. The whole procedure was over in minutes, compared to my last experience this one was very good. Just goes to show a bit of respect and dignity goes along way. Special thanks to the consultant, and the 2 lovely nurses during my procedure.
