Visited the surgery on the 27th after suffering worsening asthma symptoms and some chest pains over a week and a half - walked in and was booked in to see a nurse practitioner for 8.45.
After observing me, the nurse practitioner told me that there was, "Nothing observably wrong" which was what I wanted to hear. I got my jacket on, and thanked them for their reassurance.
At this point, they totally snapped at me and told me that they, "couldn't treat what isn't there!" and, "there's nothing wrong with [me], [I] don't need treatment!" - this totally took me by surprise and I was quite shaken as they became suddenly abrasive.
After this, they returned to a pleasant demeanour and stated, "If it gets worse or doesn't go away, don't hesitate to come back!!"
I entered worrying about my well being, and left feeling uneasy and confused. I would hesitate to see this particular nurse practitioner again - I didn't appreciate the snappiness when I just went in with concerns about my health. As an asthmatic, chest pains can be worrisome - I didn't appreciate being spoken to as though I were looking for treatment
"Gets worse every time, it seems..."
