"Prescription issue solved by swift doctor..."

I had my thyroid removed recently and the hospital gave me notes to give to my GP including the setting up of an indefinite repeat prescription.

I thought this would be just a matter of handing over the notes from the hospital as there was clear instruction contained in it to issue the medication but I was told I had to see a doctor.

The receptionist had an appointment same day, I did some shopping, came back in a couple of hours and saw the doctor who sent an immediate instruction to the pharmacy at the surgery and within 10 minutes I was able to collect my medication.
