About: Northern General Hospital

If I hadn’t been to the hospital before and I needed this department , I would look at the map & be unable to find it. Why doesn’t it say on the map it’s within the main Huntsman Building ? Or can’t I see the wood for the trees.

Thank you for leaving feedback and we are sorry it was not clear where to find your appointment. Our appointment letters do usually explain where to go but we do appreciate that the Northern General, in particular, is a very big site so we also do try to make the map and our signage in the hospital as clear as possible. The map does indicate that the Outpatients 1 department is in the Huntsman building but, as you say, does not specifically mention Orthopaedics. The Trust has a 'Way Finding' group that meets regularly to review the maps and signage, including any feedback received, so your feedback has been shared with the Information Manager so it can be reviewed at the next meeting.
