"Day patient for cardioversion."

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cardiology / Coronary Care Unit

(as a service user),

I was feeling very nervous about this procedure. The night before my admission I received a phone call from the Cardiology Nurse   Specialist and after our conversation I felt less nervous. I just couldn't believe that someone would go to that length to give reassurance. Before and after the procedure the care I received from the Cardiology nurse and the Anaesthetist and the nursing team was excellent. They were caring and professional. Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is indeed a place of excellence.

Dear Sally Brown

Thank you so much for taking the time to send your feedback. I will make sure that this is passed on to both the Cardiology Nurse Specialist and the Anaesthetist who were involved in your procedure.

Our Cardiology Nurse Specialist works very hard to try and relieve anxiety and nerves prior to all the procedures she carries out and I am sure she will be very glad to hear that this approach has made a difference to you during what is a very anxious time.

I do hope that you feel well following your procedure. Once again thank you for your feedback.

Kind regards

Catriona
