"Not the way to treat an 89 year old"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Can't believe how awful my experience was yesterday. Let alone the actual patient who is suffering from dementia and is 89 year old. Waiting without information despite appointment for potential dvt. Treated by doctors with very limited, if any, inter personal skills. Waiting with drunks, police prisoners, alcoholic along with genuinely concerned parents of babies and others with concerns.

No suitable chair for a patient unable to walk. Brought in by ambulance but then in effect dumped. No update no dialogue with just a poorly resourced admin officer dealing with the inevitable flack of disgruntled patients.

My advice in all honesty is to wait and not go to this dangerous and unfit for purpose service

Please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01772 522972 who will be able to provide you with the contact information to raise a concern with G2D, the private company commissioned to provide the Urgent Care Centre service here on our premises.

PALS can be contacted Monday to Friday 9 - 4pm and there is an answermachine facility outside of those hours.
