"Disappointing service"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I have been waiting since April for an appointment in the Opthalmology department. After chasing multiple times I finally got an appointment sent through. It took 8 months for this appointment and when I turned up to the appointment I was told it had been cancelled. Nearly a year of having to deal with symptoms and it just feels I am getting nowhere with this department and no help whatsoever.

I have never had any issues with QA in general and have always been seen within the time scales quoted but 8 months for a referral is ridiculous and well out of the time scale the NHS state.
