"Thanks County A* care"

Back in September I underwent bariatric surgery. For me this was a very sensitive time and i was extremely nervous. From the moment i stepped into ward 8 I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. The staff were amazing, they made me feel excited about the journey I was about to undertake.

Everything I asked was answered with care and an obvious understanding, I was made to feel like I was the most important person their.

I was escorted to theatres where once again the staff made every effort to ensure I was at ease. They distracted me and made me laugh yet remained professional at all times. I was created by my consultant who again reassured me as he did throughout my journey to get me to this point. My anaesthetists was very calm and gentle making me feel like I was in excellent hands.

Following surgery I only remember waking on the ward, I had no pain or sickness and from the moment I woke I was given exemplary care. All the staff on ward 8 should be praised for the outstanding patient care they give, they made me feel excited about my recovery and privacy and dignity was maintained at all times.

The ward was clean and tidy and my every whim was met.

Thank you to everyone involved in my care, I would truly recommend County as a 5 star hospital where patient care is the first priority.
