"The Best"

I was registered at this practice for about 12 years and was sad to have to leave; I only did so because they don't cover Shropshire apparently! Every staff member (receptionists, nurses, pharmacists, not to mention the GPs, were brilliant at all times and I was always impressed by their courtesy and professionalism. Having heard so many frustrations expressed by friends and family about their own surgeries, especially around getting appointments, I have to say that this was rarely an issue at Swallowfield. Admittedly, I never required an emergency appointment, but being able to book online and up to four weeks in advance was always a boon as far as I'm concerned.

Whilst the whole team deserve credit, I have to single out the doctor who looked after my medical needs for the past 6 years or so. He was not only thorough and attentive in the diagnosis of my various ailments, but a joy to be in the same room with; funny, intelligent and a really nice guy. If only all doctors could be like him.

I have registered with a new surgery recently and can already report that they could learn a great deal from Swallowfield, from making sure that they open on time when patients are standing outside in the rain, to being more punctual with appointments - I've yet to be seen within 20 minutes of my appointment time and yesterday, I was 35 minutes late. Yes, Swallowfield wasn't always on time, but it was the exception rather than the norm and never by much.

I miss them all already and wish them well for the future; they are a wonderful team.
