Opthalmology patient. Patient goes to Homecroft surgery, it's okay but it's difficult to get an appointment. Calling up in the morning sees all are taken for the day, they say it's very busy but when the patient's been there in the past, the waiting room has never been very busy. Can't book ahead. They've found out it's easier to go there in person at 8am and book an appointment face-to-face. Referred from GP to ophthalmology, it was 2-3 months until 1st appointment (which was 2-3 years ago). Been to West Cornwall Hospital and St Michael's. Good care, good information about plan of care. Has experienced issues with organisation/administration of appointments at Royal Cornwall Hospital, they have had 3 or 4 letters in the past all for the same appointment. Also had issues where they've turned up and said they should be at WCH, when calling WCH they said they had no record of the appointment. When these mistakes have happened RCH have resolved them quickly.
"Good care but some administration issues"
