About: Bedford Hospital South Wing

I was initially referred to ENT by my local GP for further tests for a persistent cough. One particular doctor ran a number of tests and put me on medication to narrow down the possibilities, but incidentally noticed a lump on my thryoid and sent me off for a test on this to rule out anything serious. As it happened, it proved to be thyroid cancer, and on being given the diagnosis, this doctor already had a surgery slot provisionally booked for me just 2 weeks later, and I readily accepted this. This went without a hitch, and two weeks on, it has healed and everything went perfectly.

The treatment I have received by my GP, this doctor and the hospital staff has been second to none - I cannot praise them highly enough.
