Brilliant fast service in A& E and X-ray. Went in with damage to an ankle. From reception to seeing the nurse practitioner to the ever so friendly young man in X-Ray one evening in December 2018. I was registered seen and treated within an hour. Everyone extremely caring and reassuring.
I would however request that there is better patient drop off access at A& E better lighting and yellow painted curbing. I had to get in a wheelchair from the car that had to park in a red zone for drop off to main A& E entrance. My wheeler could not see the dropped curb but hit the curb at its dropped height in the dark. One could not distinguish where the drop curb was to where it started to incline. The jolt caused unnecessary pain. Also the signage for A& E entrance is poorly visible at night we ended up going back and forth trying to find the best way to access A& E which was via the car park and barrier access.
Otherwise a good A& E experience. Thank you to the staff at Stoke Manderville Hospital.
