My family has been with this doctors for years. The doctors themselves are 1st class but getting to see one is another matter. My mother has a heart condition which was expertly picked up by one of ellergreen doctors sent her for tests got them quickly hospital asked her to make an appointment to see her doctor that was over a week ago. She's elderly and frightened everyday she's has rang to find the phone constantly engaged 96 times I rang yesterday to be told by a rude receptionist no appointments available you can't book ahead for one and if you want one that badly get to the surgery for 8am the doors are open you can make one on the day. This is just not good enough and were the doctors rubbish we would be leaving.

Thankyou for your review. It is true that the doors and phone lines open at 8am for that days appts as in any other practice. This is obviously when the phone lines are busy and demand is at its peak. However when that first batch of appointments are used we open telephone triage. The doctor will ring you back and can offer an appointment if necessary or deal with the problem over the phone if appropriate. It is always worth ringing after 12 for cancellations as they do happen frequently and appts are often opened up.
