I was taken into Wishaw General Hospital to be induced. There was a complication and the birth of my son turned into an emergency situation very quickly. Within an hour, I was taken to theatre and given a Caesarean section. I cannot compliment the staff at Wishaw General Hospital enough for the way I was treated from the moment I went in on the Friday to the moment I left on the Sunday evening. The staff were all so nice including Ellen and Abby (Midwives), the nursing staff, the breastfeeding team (Irene) right to the caring staff who gave out the meals and generally helped in the wards. We didn’t realise just how much of an emergency it was due to the calm and professional nature of all the staff. I was given a room to myself after the birth of my son and my husband was allowed to stay a bit longer with me. I am so grateful to all of these above mentioned wonderful staff and I really, truly couldn’t compliment the NHS enough.
