Generally very happy with labour delivery unit midwifes and doctors, clean and realy nice rooms.
Big thanks to the staff.
When we where transferred to postnatal ward after the birth thats when disappointments quicked in. It supposed to be maternity unit, you would expect it to be pretty quiet due to babies sleeping and mums and dads also being tired wanting to sleep. Unfortunately its the loudest I have ever experienced in any hospital ward, people dont take notice of mobiles phones notices that it should be switched off, no respect to others that might try to get some sleep. But no, people just like to speak all the time whether its between themselves or phone fairly loud. So how can u rest there, you cannot unless you go home. You constantly end up hearing and listening other peoples conversations.
When it comes to the staff here, they r not quiet here either, talk loud with pacients and in corridors sometimes even shouting each other names. All I want to say one more time, people this is maternity unit, postnatal ward, says it all, be quiet, swich of the phones and for goodness sake whisper to each other, you r not alone here.
