"Hand Infection"

About: Royal Derby Hospital

i attended A&zero on Thursday 29th October 2018 with a stubborn hand infection that had proved resistant to the antibiotic prescribed by my GP. From the moment I entered the hospital I was treated promptly and courteously by all staff and was eventually seen by the duty GP who referred me to the Pulvertaft Hand Clinic where I was seen the same day! I was amazed that I was treated so seriously and so promptly given that my problem seemed so minor compared with those of patients around me. I was prescribed a further course of antibiotics and returned five days later for a follow up appointment. Still anxious, I rang three days later and was seen the same day. What a service. Thanks to all in A&E and at The Pulvertaft.

Good afternoon

It was very kind of you to take the time to write to the hospital; I am pleased to hear that you had a positive experience and that you wish to express your grateful thanks to the A+E and hand clinic departments. I will forward your kind comments to the managers for these departments to share with their staff.

I hope you are recovering well and thank you again for taking the time to write to the hospital, it is appreciated.
