What I liked
Nothing. You failed in your care of my child.
What could be improved
My 5 year old daughter was sent by my concerned GP to the hospital in october suffering from recurrent worsening headaches and vomiting. We were sent away with calpol 4 times a day to cure the headaches which were possibly migraines, and told if they thought it was anything more serious they would be doing a scan. Less than a week later I took my poorly child to sheffield childrens hospital where within an hour they had scanned her and diagnosed a brain tumour and excess fluid on her brain. She had the tumour removed less than 12 hours later.
The doctors must take recurrent vomiting and headaches more seriously! We were told the fluid on our daughters brain was so great that if we hadn't taken her to the hospital when we did she would have probably died.
This is not the first time your hospital has failed my daughter.
Anything else?
I hope I never have to take either of my children to our local chesterfield hospital again. Our first choice would always be the amazing sheffield children's hospital.
"calpol x4day... for a brain tumour! Thank God for..."
