I was brought into a&e city hospital yesterday by ambulance and the treatment from the beginning was disgraceful. One of the symptoms I had was extreme dizziness and sickness but no one helped me I was told abruptly to constantly come here go there despite the fact the staff could clearly see me falling over myself in pain and dizziness and I had tears running down my face. No one told me what was going on so when I finally asked they said wait out there in the waiting room I asked for how long and if I could have somewhere to lie down as I am passing out. The staff nurse then started shouting at me saying there's people worse than me including a 5 year old and then the nurses spoke and laughed between themselves at me saying oh she says she's going to pass out but look at her. Yes I was standing up as adrenaline and surival means your body will cope for a few minutes if it is has to. The staff nurse continued to shout at me I got very upset and cried and said what is wrong with her speaking to me like that. Then I asked will I see a gynaecologist. She shouted at me again saying this is a&e!
I said I'm not a nurse I don't know the process I am just asking. They then threatened to call security. Taking into account I am a 5foot female who is not aggressive and was not rude this was so unfair. I think because I am not elderly they treated me with no dignity whatsoever and I walked out of a&e on my own in floods of tears in extreme pain with dizziness and I am back at the doctor's again as I am of course still very unwell. I will never set foot there again.
"A&E nursing staff rude with no compassion..."
