I had an appointment for an endoscopy set up at the Milton Keynes clinic.
Unfortunately the weekend before I developed a check infection and difficulty breathing so I decided to cancel the appointment.
I had great difficulty in finding the right number to call, despite my extensive paperwork.
I could not get through on the main hospital number.
After much effort I finally did get through to an appropriate person- a nurse in the endoscopy department - who agreed to cancel and reschedule the appointment.
Then, two days after the cancelled appointment I get a call from the hospital complaining that I had missed the appointment!!
Fortunately I took the name of the nurse I had cancelled with and the time so I was able to justify myself.
But let’s be honest, the most useless are the predictably useless..!
