"The lights...."

About: Hinchingbrooke Hospital

One of the worst things here is the lights.

In the wards, they keep the very bright overhead lights on from 0500 until after midnight.

They are driving me crazy.

This is supposed to be for the convenience of the staff.

Well, use a torch or the side lamps.

Why is it necessary to torture the patients for convenience???

Keeping lights on continuously is used as a form of torture in prisons and other places.

The incessant and unnecessary noise is bad enough but the lights make it absolutely impossible to get any rest at all, never mind actually getting any sleep.

Having multiple TVs going on simultaneously, all loudly playing is absurd.

That is what headphones are for.

Here it is almost 10 PM and I still cannot get any rest at all due to the noise of two other TVs playing in contrast to each other and those blaring overhead lights blinding me.
