"Summer/Autumn/Winter (three Seasons)"

About: Inclusion Inclusion Thurrock (Talking Therapies)

(as a service user),

This is my story……You may ask yourself why Three Season, well I started my Therapy in the Summer and now we’re in the month of Christmas and I am approaching my final session

Just like the Seasons change, so too as my personality….the module that was chosen for me was Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy which is all about Anxiety, Depression and Relationship issues. .  Each session would change at the beginning; there would be a lot of tears especially by what I started to remember from when I was young.  At the beginning of my Journey, I felt like I was Lost, Lonely, No Self Esteem, Raw and Damaged and Worthless.  Now I feel like a complete different person, I feel New, Confident, and Positive, Mature, Proud , Empowered and I walk with a smile.

For any one that reads this, Counselling does not just change the person having the Therapy, but it also changes your family’s life, my husband and Son never knew what person I would be when they came home, would I be happy or depressed.  I had a lot of Passive Aggression inside me, which I witnessed a lot when I was a child, and to those who read this, it is definitely not an acceptable behaviour….that has all now changed and they come home to a new person.

Before my Therapy and for a good few years, I always thought about training to be a Counsellor, but it never got to be more than a thought, last year I got accepted, but unfortunately due to personal reasons I couldn’t start the course.  This week I completed by Application Form to a attend College for CPCAB, it felt so natural in doing this.  Mental Health used to be a taboo subject, never spoken about, but now in this today’s Society it is huge, and I really hope with the right training I can help make a difference.

Finally – I would like to thank Inclusion Thurrock by allowing me to receive their brilliant counselling service.  My Counsellor was Steve, I couldn’t off wish for a better Counsellor.  So thank you Steve for helping to Fix and Repair me and making me the person I am today and want to be tomorrow.

Dear Summer Autumn Winter

I know that your story will be read and re read,

by many people and it will definitely be inspiring to a great number of clients and staff.......

Thank you for such a reflective thorough and positive piece of feedback.

I particularly enjoyed your reflection on change not being confined to the one person, the client, but that it has a ripple effect on those around them and even wider into their environment!!

Change can and will, bring about further change. Its inevitable isn't it?

Thank you so much and I shall of course pass on your story to the whole team at Inclusion.

We wish you all the very best for the future.

Paul
