My mother had a successful cardiac bypass surgery at Barts. Whilst inpatient care was very good there has been no follow up care. Although an Occupational therapist called to arrange a visit, none arrived. She is now housebound and is proof however good the surgery is, without good follow up community care, many patients are being let down.
