I booked an appointment for a relative and from the beginning I was rushed to choose a doctor for . my dad, althoUgh I had no background details on any.I requested details of the doctors and then chose one out of 3. I was asked to give mobile number email and personal details which I did. I was told I would get a 48hour reminder and confirmation on my dad's mobile.however, this did not happen. I also requested a letter to be sent to me and this did not happen either. My sister attended with our dad, she was told to give her bank details for security reasons but this was not explained. The first question I was asked was not which department or doctor I would like but how I am going to pay.
My sister said it was as if the doctor was like a salesperson and not a doctor! My dad also felt like it was a rushed appointment
When I rang the hospital to ask that the invoice be sent to me via email and to complain that we did not receive a letter or text confirmation, i was told that they did not have a mobile or email and that I had given them a landline! I said that is impossible as I was asked for a mobile for text messaging purposes.
I have the transcript of the online chat detailing everything which was sent to my email and told them of this and also said that I can forward this as this my proof of the whole conversation.
She was very uncooperative and I asked for a complaints department and eventually said that she will make the NEC aware of this. Needless to say, I have not heard from them. Never again will I have any dealings with this hospital. I really wander what the invoice is going to outline for an initial consultation( I requested the price for but even that was a struggle to obtain as I was given a range of a price) Not helpful just horrible difficult people. We don't need this added stress when we are stressed as it is.
"Never again"
