Tell us about your experiences of getting your Parkinson's medication when you needed it while you were in hospital. Did staff understand the importance of getting it on time? Did they talk about it? Did you have to mention it first?
The first 6 hours I didn't get my medication, as they had taken it from me, I was told to see the Parkinson's specialist first; after 8 hours I was told he had gone home, if it hadn't been for my wife I don't know what I'd have done, it made me very ill!!
Tell us about your experiences of being able to manage your own Parkinson's medication in hospital.
I felt like they don't let you as it was taken from me, and some of the time it was up to 2 hours late when they drugs trolley came round. I hope I never have to go into hospital again.
Tell us if you have any other comments about your stay in hospital.
After 2 days they finally seemed to get it together and I was feeling better but my wife still had to shower me and make me get my medication on time. The day I came out they stopped giving me medication at 8.30am, and it was 2.30 before I got it.
