I attended Whipps cross due to my daughter falling off her horse. I managed to get her to the main entrance but was then told A&E is a lot further down. There were no wheelchairs anywhere. Then - this trainee nurse over heard the situation we were in and decided to go out of his way and help. He rang around the different wards to see where the best place would be to take her. He checked her over to see any red flags. He was engaging with her to distract her from her pain. He managed to find a wheelchair and took her straight to A &E only to find a long queue. What was so amazing about this trainee Nurse was that he kept checking if anything was changing with her pain and he went an extra mile by giving his phone to my daughter to watch cartoons to distract her. He helped us so much as I myself was extremely worried about her and was a little panicked.
I think when we have nurses as compassionate as the trainee Nurse it has a real impact on our NHS- as these are the qualities are NHS needs. What a wonderful, compassionate and amazing trainee nurse.
"The most compassionate trainee nurse."
