"Poor attitude"

About: Silsden & Steeton Medical Practice

My partner has been suffering from depression for a few years now and it has been going down hill, it has taken me over a year to get her to make an appointment, after speaking with her it's now apparent why it took so long for her to ring he surgery!

May a point out that reception staff are not qualified doctors and should not talk down to patiens suffering with depression, you made her feel awefull and knocked her back massivley in the way she feels, I am absolutley discussed!

She managed to get a phone appointment but the doctor seemed more bothred with getting patients through rather then trying to find out what and why,  just a change in drugs and see how you go!

After my suggestion of moving doctors, that she did the day after and explaining the issues to the reseption staff she was seen the same day, the new doctor (who seems to care) is conducting numerous tests and plenty of advice and help, unfortunately this is not going to be a quick fix but she now has a plan and timetable and a plan as to the treatment and what they are looking for.

As she has been a patient of your surgery for years and these tests and plans have not been conducted while under your care, This speaks volumes about what care you provide and how it seems to me that the surgery is more bothred about quick turn around to make the numbers look better.
