"Worst waiting times I’ve ever experienced!!!"

About: Salford Royal

Visited my ortho sugeon back on 18th Sep 2017 after having surgery to remove a defuncted Spinal Neuro Stimulator in order to have an MRI Scan, as this broken device couldn’t be used in the scanners due to internal metal & battery.

I also needed to have nerve conduction tests done aswell.

I fractured my spine, (5 place) & dislocated it causing unstable fracures , T12 on L1. Underwaent emergency surgery to stablelize spine with bone fusions & metalwork support.

Forward a few years I continue to suffer neurological pain in my legs & spine pain usually severe so I’m prescribed high doses of fentanyl & oxycodone for break through pain.

After receiving a date & attending an MRI scan:11/11/17 & an app for Nerve Conduction tests: 22/11/17. I awaited the results.... really didn’t expect to get them til another 8 wks so I didn’t jump on the phone straight away to ask.

....But eventually 4mths went by, then by 6mths I called the Ortho dept secetary, only to get an answer machine, engGed tones or just no response! I viisited my Gp to get their support on the case & reading my notes there was no added notes from the hospital since inviting me to get the tests done! My Gp emailed but I didn’t hear anything for another wk or so. The very nice secetary assured me I wasn’t forgotten & promised I’d get an app by July.

So I waited..... & waited & low & behold July came & went, it had now been 9 mths since tests & scan! I am now slightly confused, didn’t feel like my worsening symptoms were serious enough?! Once again I visited my Hp, now he’s not happy, he got on the phone straight away.....
